How Valo works
Valo is a token launchpad on Robinhood Chain. Tokens launch and trade on Pons v2, and your wallet is created for you when you sign in.
Getting started
- Sign in. Tap Sign in and use your email or a social account. A wallet is created for you automatically. No browser extension is needed.
- Add ETH. Open Wallet, copy your deposit address, and send ETH on Robinhood Chain (chain ID 4663). ETH sent on other networks cannot be recovered.
- Launch or trade. Create your own token or buy tokens from the board. Transactions are signed from your Valo wallet, so there are no pop-ups to approve.
Launching a token
Creating a token takes three steps.
- Logo. Describe your logo in a sentence and pick one of four AI-generated options, or upload your own image.
- Details. Choose a name, ticker, and description, add your X and Telegram links, and set a creator fee between 0% and 10%. You can also add an initial buy, which is made in the same transaction as the launch so nobody can buy before you.
- Review. Check everything and launch. The name, ticker, and creator fee cannot be changed afterwards.
The full supply is minted to the token's bonding curve. Nobody, including the creator, receives tokens before trading opens.
Trading
Open any token from the board and use the Buy or Sell panel. You see an estimate of what you will receive before you confirm.
- Slippage is the maximum price change you accept while your trade is processed. New tokens move fast, so the default is 5%. You can change it in Settings.
- Your first sale of a token sends one extra approval transaction. After that, sales go through in one step.
- In the first seconds after a launch, buys carry an opening tax that drops to zero within 5 seconds. It protects new launches from bots.
Bonding curve and graduation
Every token starts on its own bonding curve. The curve always sells and always buys back, so there is no waiting for someone to take the other side. The price rises as people buy and falls as they sell.
When the curve sells out, the token graduates. The funds the curve collected, together with a reserved share of the supply, become a Uniswap v4 pool, and that liquidity is locked permanently. No one can withdraw it, including the creator.
Fees
- Launch fee: 0.0005 ETH, set by Pons. Valo adds nothing on top.
- Trading fee: a base fee set by Pons, plus the token's creator fee if it has one (0% to 10%). The creator fee is shown on every token page.
- Network fee: a small gas fee on Robinhood Chain for every transaction.
Auto burn
Every token launched on Valo burns 50,000 VALO from the Valo treasury. Burns happen automatically, and each one has its own transaction you can check. See the Burn page for totals and history.
Your wallet
- Your wallet belongs to you. You can export the private key anytime from Wallet and use it in MetaMask or any EVM wallet.
- Withdraw ETH to any address on Robinhood Chain from the Wallet page.
- Keep your sign-in account secure, since it controls your wallet. Valo will never ask for your private key.
FAQ
Does Valo hold my funds?
No. Your wallet is yours and you can export its key at any time. Valo never has access to your private key.
Why did my transaction fail?
Usually the price moved more than your slippage allows, or there was not enough ETH left for the network fee. Try again, raise slippage slightly, or keep a little ETH for gas.
How do I know a token is the real one?
Check the contract address. Names, tickers, and images can be copied, but the address cannot. Tokens marked Official or Verified on Valo have been reviewed by the Valo team.
Can I trade a token after it graduates?
Yes, on Uniswap v4. Trading graduated tokens directly on Valo is coming soon.
